Young driver insurance premiums increase once again

AA have recently released new figures regarding insurance premiums with premiums for young drivers increasing by nearly 90% for some over the last 2 years.

Young men in particular have been hard hit with men under 22 suffering an increase of 82% or approximately £1427 a year.

These rising costs makes it particularly difficult for new drivers to afford insurance, even on older cars, cars with small engines or their parents vehicles as named drivers.

With public transport costs rising all the time, it seems that soon to be young drivers are somewhat stuck with no money and no means of getting anywhere.
